From My Sister's Diary 7

Pride and prejudice - two characteristics of human being usually impart us negative notions of a person.

Pride, kinda feeling when one feels himself superior to other. It's an inordinate opinion of one's own dignity or superiority which one cherishes in mind or displays in conduct. On the other hand, prejudice is such feeling that is formed without knowledge or reason.

Both these two things are destructive for human being. Pride thwarts one from seeing the wrong of sole self and prejudice makes oneself blind by thwarting him to see the light of goodness in others..

Being seized by Pride and Prejudice, we sometimes get so hasty in giving judgement about other that we can't even realize the gravity- the situation demands! We can't understand the pains and sufferings one goes through. A smiling face may hide fountain of tears, may feel inexplicable agony - yet keeps a pose of happiness. We can never feel the pain of others as it's the wearer only who knows where the shoe pinches..

From my Sister's Diary 6

Radiant youthfulness, lustrous beauty, good health- all things denoting the green days of life are marred by the tyrannous assault of time. Time- the decayer, the destroyer brings doom within a moment..
Human, so powerful yet such helpless in battle against time!
..............................
Thou Omnipotent Lord- cruel and kind, how precisely you plan! When the corporeal frames drown in sin, feet slide from the right track- you implement your plan to save them from drowning, from sliding..

Is agony of death more piercing, knifelike than this? Such severe excruciation was giving the feel of death every second! Yet the soul didn't breathe the last, yet survived, cause You pitied.
You oozed your kindness in others and pervaded the death-stricken soul with their care, affection and love.. You let the soul feel the feel to be fallen prey to the decay of death. Yet you blessed with chance to recall you again in supplication.
The soul, therefore invokes you-- "Our Lord! and grant us what Thou hast promised us by Thy apostles; and disgrace us not on the day of resurrection; surely Thou dost not fail to perform the promise"
