O month of Ramadan, slow down

"O month of Ramadan, slow down,
The tears of those who love you have flowed;
Their hearts, from the pain of parting, have ripped.
Perhaps a moment to say goodbye
will be enough to put out the fire of longing;
Perhaps a moment of repentance and return
will be enough to make up what was incomplete of fasting;
Perhaps someone cut off from the caravan of the accepted
will catch up;
Perhaps the slave to his own sins will be set free
Perhaps one who has deserved the fire will be freed forever;
Perhaps the sinner will be guided to winning the mercy of his Lord."

Thought of Wisdom

Life is no straight and easy corridor along
which we travel free and unhampered,
But a maze of passages,
through which we must seek our way,
Lost and Confused,
Now and again checked in a blind alley.

But always, if we have faith,
A door will open for us,
Not perhaps one that
we ourselves would ever have thought of,
But one that will ultimately prove good for us.

The Caravan of Light – Al Mahmud

Translated by: Kazi Shihan Mirza

Our caravan is from the past to the eternity
Having reached here from the Badr through the Uhud
Being here after a long travel.
Who questions about our destination!
We already said the destination is the eternity.
Rise and fall of agonycould never sway us.
Our body is maimed.
The field of Muta became fertile with the drops of our blood.
Color of all blossomed roses is our blood.
Their fragrance is our exhaled air.
We have the noble Qur’an in our hand;
The sacred one that never let any believer to rest.
How can we then rest?
The goal of our journey is the golden entrance
which is not on this earth
We don’t care about our companions’ different looks;
Because our souls’ constant whispering that
We are a single body, a single soul.
Martyrs don’t have any difference.
We were born in this world to drink the sweet sip of martyrdom;
Some on rocky surface, some in shade of tent, some in desert, some in green field.

We are in the caravan since birth
which doesn’t have any end.
The sound of our marching never ceased
throughout 1500 years of ascent and decline.
How many comrades we left behind
beneath the surface!
Their graves will be humming one day like buzzing of bees.
We know very well that
After a false attempt to restrain us,
Satan disappears in the darkness.
Our faces radiate the ray of tomorrow’s dawn.
Our procession won’t take rest
In midst of fear and destruction.
Shahadah is in our flag,
This message of ours never let anyone to halt.
We also won’t halt.

Signs of Allah's Existence

O mankind, worship your Lord, who created you and those before you, that you may become righteous -  [He] who made for you the earth a bed [spread out] and the sky a ceiling and sent down from the sky, rain and brought forth thereby fruits as provision for you. So do not attribute to Allah equals while you know [that there is nothing similar to Him].
Al Baqarah : 21-22

Several scholars of Tafsir, like Ar-Razi and others, used this Ayah as an argument for the existence of the Creator, and it is a most worthy method of argument. Indeed, whoever ponders over the things that exist, the higher and lower creatures, their various shapes, colors, behavior, benefits & ecological roles, then he will realize the ability, wisdom, knowledge, perfection & majesty of the Creator. Once a Bedouin was asked about the evidence to Allah's existence, he responded: ''All praise is due to Allah! The camel's dung testifies to the existence of the camel, and the track testifies to the fact that someone was walking. A sky that holds the giant stars, a land that has fairways and a sea that has waves, does not all of this testify that the Most kind, Most Knowledgeable exists?" [Ar- Razi 2:91]

Hence, whoever gazes at the sky in its immensity, its expense, and the various kinds of planets on it some of which appear stationary in the sky- whoever gazes at the seas that surround the land from all sides, and the mountains that were placed on the earth to stabilize it, so that whoever lives on land, whatever their shape and color, are able to live and thrive- whoever reads Allah's statement:

Do you not see that Allah sends down rain from the sky, and We produce thereby fruits of varying colors? And in the mountains are tracts, white and red of varying shades and [some] extremely black. And among people and moving creatures and grazing livestock are various colors similarly. Only those fear Allah, from among His servants, who have knowledge. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Forgiving." (35:27-28)

Whoever thinks about the running rivers that travel from area to area bringing benefit, whoever ponders over what Allah has created on earth; various animals and plants of different tastes, scents, shapes and colors that are a result of unity between land and water, whoever thinks about all of this then he will realize that these facts testify to the existence of the Creator, His perfect ability, wisdom, mercy, kindness, generosity and His overall compassion for His creation. There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, nor there is a Lord beside Him, upon Him we rely and to Him we turn in repentence. There are numerous Ayat in the Qur'aan on the subject.
